Sitting at the end of the galley kitchen and opposite the entrance door, the diner is perhaps the functional centre of the wagon. The decor is circus-themed, with bright colours and wall-paper made from old circus posters; definitely not a good place if clowns give you the creeps!
Seating takes the form of a monk’s bench (with all-important underseat storage below) and a dining chair so that two can dine opposite each other. There is a further folding chair, which lives under the sofa, should it be required. With a view to planning the day’s adventures there is a blackboard, and a cork-board covering one entire wall. The drop-leaf table can be further opened up to give excellent space for spreading maps or simply reading the paper.
The fruitbowl was made by local artist Nuala Dunn who displays some of her work at Celf Aran Arts in Dolgellau.
