Where are we?
Coed Cae is in the hamlet of Taicynhaeaf, and is easy to find being located beside the road junction formed by the Taicynhaeaf road, the A496 Dolgellau to Barmouth Road, and the road to the Penmaenpool toll bridge.Turn right when heading towards Barmouth and our drive is the first on the right opposite the bus shelter.
The popular mountain bike destination of Coed y Brenin is about 11 km from the site.
Grid Ref: SH 6908 1918
SatNav: Postcode is LL40 2TU. Be aware that your SatNav may send you over the Penmaenpool Bridge, this closes to traffic at 6.30pm. Beware: as this is the only postcode for the dispersed hamlet, it will take you to the central point; a long way up a steep and narrow Taicynhaeaf road. We are at the bottom of the road, right by the junction with the A496.
The nearest railway station is Barmouth, with connections via Shrewsbury and Birmingham. For timetables and further information visit www.thetrainline.com
A regular bus service runs approximately every 2 hours from Barmouth station to our gate at Taicynhaeaf. Traveline Cymru has full details of all the public transport options in Wales.
